Debossing, printing or foil?
Blind debossing presses your logo into the cover without ink. It is subtle, tactile and reads as the most premium of the three, but it needs a simple shape - fine detail and small text disappear into the material.
Printing keeps your brand colours and reproduces detail, and is the right call when the logo depends on colour to be recognisable.
Foil stamping gives a metallic finish that stands out sharply against a dark cover. It suits award and long-service gifting where the notebook is the keepsake rather than a tool.
Paper and binding are worth a thought
Thin paper makes a notebook feel cheap the moment someone writes in it, because ink ghosts through to the next page. Heavier stock costs a little more and changes how the gift is judged entirely.
Binding decides whether it lies flat. Sewn bindings open properly on a desk; glued ones tend to spring shut, which is a small irritation that stops a notebook getting used.
